CoasterDex is a digital service and amusement park industry fan site led by community driven content. CoasterDex is an independent service and is not affiliated with any amusement industry business.

CoasterDex (coasterdex.com) and CoasterDex app allows users / persons to (a) view the CoasterDex website and other services; or / and (b) participate in interactive features that are made available.

BY USING THE SITE AND/OR THE SERVICES IN ANY MANNER, YOU UNCONDITIONALLY CONSENT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY AND BE A PARTY TO THESE TERMS OF USE, PRIVACY POLICY AND COMMUNITY GUIDELINES. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN EITHER THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE PRIVACY POLICY OR THE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES, DO NOT USE THE SITE OR THE SERVICES.

The term "you" or "user" refers to an individual which has created a CoasterDex account and uses the services and/or contributes content to them.

The term "CoasterDex", "service" or "we" refers to the CoasterDex website and any related services including but not limited to mobile applications published by CoasterDex.

1. Usage

CoasterDex is designed for personal, non-commercial use. Content and materials from the service must not be used for commercial purposes unless explicitly authorised by CoasterDex in writing.

Whilst content and data is independently verified, CoasterDex is not responsible or liable for any inaccuracies or omissions. CoasterDex is not liable for any financial losses made by using CoasterDex as a source of information.

You must not create or train automated services including "machine learning" and / or "artificial intelligence" related services to use the data or user contributions to the service unless explicitly authorised by CoasterDex in writing. Search engines may crawl and index pages served by the CoasterDex website.

You must not copy or reproduce any content from CoasterDex to produce a duplicate and / or competing service.

2. Membership

CoasterDex offers an optional user membership.

  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, your password and for restricting access to your computer. If you permit others to use your account credentials, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of all other persons who use the Services under your account or password, and you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password.
  • CoasterDex has the right to ban or block accounts and / or email addresses that are found to have violated our terms or community guidelines. CoasterDex has the right to review account appeals within an unlimited time period.
  • Individuals may only have one account. Where duplicate accounts are found we have the right to close them. If you created a second account by mistake or couldn't log in to your existing account, let us know and we will try to recover or merge your contributions.
  • CoasterDex is not responsible or liable for any disputes that may arise between users of the service. CoasterDex remains independent from any disputes.
  • CoasterDex is not responsible for user conduct.
  • CoasterDex has the right to introduce a monetary fee for current and future features.
  • Due to GDPR and other local laws CoasterDex is not available for users under the age of 18. By using the CoasterDex service you agree you are over the age of 18 or have consent from your parent or guardian to use our serivces.

3. User contributions

  • CoasterDex has the right to review, modify and/or delete any contributions to the service.
  • By contributing, you agree the community guidelines set out by CoasterDex.
  • CoasterDex is not responsible for content submitted by users.
  • Reviews and other contributions by users do not reflect the views of CoasterDex.
  • Photographs and/or other media submitted to CoasterDex remain copyright of the original owner.
  • By submitting a photograph and / or other media you agree that you own the copyright or have permission to upload said media from the copyright holder.
  • By submitting a content, photographs and / or other media you agree to allow CoasterDex to use said media for use and publication across CoasterDex services including for any commercial use.
  • If you are the copyright holder of any media being used on the CoasterDex platform and do not wish for it to be used, you agree to contact CoasterDex as soon as possible asking for the infringing media to be removed. CoasterDex is not responsible for media uploaded by users, however we take copyright seriously and will be proactive in ensuring the correct resolution for all parties. Alternatively, if you are happy for the infringing media to be used by CoasterDex, please let us know and we will update the credit information appropriately.

4. Third party services

  • CoasterDex may link to "third party" / other websites. We do not own or review these websites and are not responsible for the content.
  • CoasterDex does not endorse any third party websites

5. Copyright

  • The CoasterDex logo, website and and associated services are copyright of David Hayes.
  • Media (including but not limited to photographs) remain the property and copyright of their original owner.
  • If you believe that a user has posted content in which you own copyright in an unauthorized manner on CoasterDex, you can send us a request to remove the infringing content. CoasterDex will review any requests with due care.

6. Our terms

We may modify these terms from time to time without warning or notice and it is your responsibility to read them carefully and review any changes that may have been made. Your continued use of services constitutes your agreement with such modifications.
