Overview
Operating
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, located in Tampa, Florida, began as a hospitality facility for the Anheuser-Busch brewery in 1959. Originally offering complimentary beer tastings and a simple bird garden, the park rapidly evolved into a major theme park known for its unique blend of thrilling rides and immersive animal exhibits.
In 1980, Busch Gardens introduced its first major roller coaster, Scorpion, a Schwarzkopf Looping Coaster that set the stage for future expansions. Over the years, the park has continued to grow, adding iconic attractions like Kumba, SheiKra, and Montu, all while maintaining its core African theme.
