The UK Government, in partnership with Universal Destinations and Experiences, has officially confirmed that the Universal Studios UK theme park will proceed as planned.

Located on a 476-acre site in Bedford, the park is slated to open in 2031 and is expected to contribute approximately £50 billion to the British economy.

The development will generate 28,000 jobs, including 20,000 positions for construction and 8,000 jobs in hospitality and creative industries once the park is operational.

In addition to the theme park, a 500-room hotel, retail, and entertainment complex will be developed on the site of a former brickworks.

British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer expressed his enthusiasm, stating that this investment will position Bedford as the home of one of Europe’s largest entertainment destinations, solidifying the region's presence on the global stage.

While details regarding the park’s attractions have yet to be revealed, stay tuned to CoasterDex for the latest updates on Universal Studios UK as new information becomes available.
